Another hugely entertaining evening of racing was had by all at the Cheltenham Hunter Chase Evening Meeting on the 4th May this year, with spectacular views of the finish line enjoyed from the HSBS Box, which welcomed many Honorary Members, Benefit Members and Hunt Staff on the night.

The ‘Hunt Staff Benefit Society Open Hunters’ Steeple Chase’ was won by the appropriately named Foxcub, and the United Hunts Cup was expertly presented by the Jenkins family, who had successfully bid to be the race Sponsors in our Horn and Hound Ball Auction two weeks previously.

A Silent Auction was again run in conjunction with this Evening Meeting to raise funds for the Society; huge thanks to all those who donated prizes and those who bid, and a special thanks to Mark Hill and his wonderful team from Moore Allen and Innocent in Cirencester for running the show so smoothly on the night.

The Auction raised over £6,600, and the bucket collection on the gates smashed all previous totals to bring in over £1,300, which, combined with the many charitable donations received in the run up to this event, resulted in another very successful fundraiser for the Society, and our sister charity, the Hunt Servants’ Fund.
