Rules This is an Internet Auction which culminates as a Silent Auction at which Internet Bidders will still be able to place commission bids right up until 4.00 pm on Tuesday, 5th May 2009. The Silent Auction will take place at the Hunter Chase Evening Meeting at Cheltenham Racecourse on Wednesday, 6th May 2009. The next four pages contain 50 lots, each marked with a lot number. Take a look at the lots and decide against which you would like to make a bid. To the right of each lot you will see where the bidding stands. Either 'bid invited' - in other words no bid has yet been placed, or alternatively the current bid against the lot together with the name of the bidder. On every page you will see the email link to the H.S.B.S. Silent / Internet Auction. To place a bid simply send us an email, headed 'Auction'. When you place your first bid, you will also need to register. Please provide your Name, Address, Telephone number and the Name under which you want to bid (this is the name that will appear next to your bid on the website), be as imaginative as you like !! Then, list the lots against which you wish to bid and the amount of your bid. Bids will be updated at the end of each day, with the highest bid being shown. In the event of two similar bids being received, then the first received will be taken as the current bid. Further bids require only your 'bidding name' as identification, but we would ask you to bid, where possible, from the same email address so that we are able to easily confirm your identity. If it is necessary to use a different email sending address, then please include your original registration details (but say that you are already registered). Last email bids (and commission bids) will be accepted up until 4.00 pm on Tuesday, 5th May 2009. Thereafter the Silent Auction takes place, the following day, on site at Cheltenham Racecourse with bids taken in person or via commission bidding (as described above) through until 8.15 pm. A final update on this website will be in place by 12 Noon on 6th May 2009. Times are British Summer Time. All bids are accepted on the basis that they will be honoured and registration is taken as an acceptance of this rule. Whilst everything possible has been done to ensure that no problems arise, the H.S.B.S., its employees, servants and representatives cannot accept responsibility for system failures that may occur or any other eventualities. By placing a bid you are accepting all the above rules. Successful bidders will be contacted by the H.S.B.S. to arrange payment and to provide the necessary details for securing the Lot. Please see the printed conditions on the catalogue. Hint : Whilst bidding use the 'refresh' button on your browser frequently to ensure that you are always looking at the updated page and not a previous image held on your own computer. Please email if you have any queries. |
